U. S. Naval Academy Annapolis, MD - Reunion
Sunday, August 17 thru August 22, 2008
This is your Reunion Package. Please Read Carefully
This year we have two (2) places to stay:
1) Hampton Inn & Suites

124 Womack Drive
2) The Navy Lodge
410-757-7900 FAX 410-757-9394
347 Kinkaid Road
The reasons & difference between the Inn and Lodge
Reasons:
Hampton Inn provides FREE Hospitality room for four (4) nights and a Full Breakfast each day.
The Hampton has a swimming pool and exercise facility
The Navy Lodge does not have these capabilities. It was shipmate Richard Stewart of Ephrata, PA. who actively participated in getting the Hampton Inn rate.
Justification:
The Hospitality Room provides us a place to meet at the end of the day and chit chat with other shipmates & compare stories during service and current activities. It is a large room that provides us a place for our display boards that show past reunions and those persons who came to them. Also, we have a place to display our O'HARE ware as sale items: i.e., Golf shirts, hats, jackets, plaques, photos, ship pictures, DVDs etc.
This year we will be able to bring in our own refreshments: beer, juice, sodas, water, pretzels, chips, cheese, dips etc. There are no restrictions; however, we will not have liquor or wine.
We will have high ranking officials who may speak to us, they are:
1) Congressman Steve Chabot of Ohio - Invitation Pending !
2) LCDR Gregory Jones (brother of shipmate Ron Jones) on active duty and presently stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital.
3) Captain Dominic Descisciolo (a close friend of shipmate Lou Campanile) currently stationed at the Pentagon and recently appointed to Commanding Officer of the Cruiser, USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) in 2009.
Cost Differential:
Hampton Inn is $85.00 + 13% Tax Navy Lodge is $71.00 No TAX
ACTION by shipmates & friends in responding. It is requested that persons planning to attend do.
